♦ One bottle of 2018 Il Barone, Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon, sourced from our top vineyards throughout Napa Valley, and shows dense flavors of dark berries, baking spice, and powerful, structured tannins. An exceptional Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon with excellent long-term aging potential.
♦ One bottle of 2017 Il Passito, Late Harvest Sauvignon Blanc, a wine for kings and queens; rich, unctuous and complex. An elegant and nuanced honey sweet dessert wine, made in the fine sauterne style. A regal dessert wine made from overripe grapes which develop Botrytis cincerea, or "Noble Rot", shriveling the skins and enhancing sugar, acid and flavor intensity. The resulting harvest in late autumn is vastly diminished in yield, then barrel-fermented and aged for 2 years, becoming more concentration and flavorful.
♦ One bottle of 2017 La Castellana, Super Tuscan Blend, our “Lady of the Castle” is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Sangiovese, with excellent long-term aging potential. Dark stone fruit, spices, red cherries, and floral notes are supported by silky, polished tannins. La Castellana is a harmonious blend that strikes a balance between power and elegance. This elegant "Super Tuscan" wine goes well with lamb, sausage, grilled steak, venison or a great pasta dish such as Pappardelle with wild boar (Dario's favorite). Patience will be rewarded as La Castellana slowly reveals her secrets over the years.
♦ One bottle of 2021 Reserve Chardonnay, Napa Valley, a round and balanced full-bodied Chardonnay from vineyards in the southern end of Napa Valley with lush notes of baked apple, ripe pear, fall spices, and toasted almond.
♦ One bottle of 2021 Pinot Noir, Cresta d'Oro Vineyard, an elegant cool-climate Pinot Noir from our estate vineyard in Green Valley of Russian River Valley. Fruit-forward aromas of red-cherries are balanced by savory notes of mushroom and baking spices from aging in French oak barrels.
♦ One bottle of 2022 Rosato, Cresta d'Oro Vineyard, an elegant dry rosé of Pinot Noir sourced from our Cresta d'Oro estate vineyard in Green Valley of Russian River Valley. Bright aromas of fresh berries mingle with hints of rose petal and a refreshing minerality from partial aging in a concrete egg.
