A bold and balanced Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, with enticing notes of black cherry, cassis, and dark chocolate with hints of savory spice. Excellent now but can age well for over a decade.
Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate (88 Points)
"The very good 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa exhibits a dark ruby/purple color, and the soft, fleshy style this winery seems to favor. Notes of charcoal, black cherries, black currants, underbrush, and forest floor are found in this simple wine that is best drunk over the next decade. This faux-Tuscan castle, situated just off Route 29 north of St. Helena, is quite a sight, but more importantly, my first look at their portfolio was a good one."
Wine Enthusiast Magazine (87 Points)
"Lots of oak and ripe fruit in this flashy Cabernet. Too much of both, in fact. Explodes in blackberries, cassis, buttered toast and caramel, wrapped into the ripest, sweetest tannins imaginable. But beyond the obvious palate flattery, there's not a whole lot going on."
