Bien Nacido Vineyard is an iconic American vineyard located in the Santa Maria Valley along the Central California coast, which has been producing highly acclaimed wines for over 40 years. It has been named one of the top 25 vineyards in the world by Wine & Spirits Magazine,a nd one of the top Grand Cru vineyards in California by Wine Enthusiast Magazine.
Winemaker Notes
Following the very small harvest of 2015, it was heartening to see the vines recover and bounce back to produce not only extremely high quality fruit but also some bounty in 2016! Across the board, the flavors and acids were exceptional, with very fresh fruit aromas and flavors were evident in the whites. Acids are firm and pH is slightly lower, so the wines should be well-structured with very good aging potential. This is an exciting vintage with a lot to like!—Brooks Painter, Director of Winemaking
