Cool maritime air of the Los Carneros region coupled with warm, sunny days yields this silky Pinot Noir. The Los Carneros AVA includes both the famous wine growing regions of Sonoma & Napa counties. Receiving its AVA status in 1983, Carneros area was the first wine region in California to be defined by its climate characteristics rather than political boundaries. Rich aromas of black cherry, blackberry and dried sage lead to notes of dark fruits with plush tannins, balanced acidity, and hints of smoky caramel from aging in French oak barrels.
93 Points by International Wine Review, "This Pinot Noir from the cool, Los Carneros growing area opens with scents of black currants, dark cherries and exotic spice. It’s full in the mouth with abundant quantities of opulent dark red fruit with a hint of briar. Well balanced and finishes with a vibrant, long aftertaste. Matured 11 months in Burgundian French oak."
