Lisa Perrotti-Brown, The Wine Independent (93 Points) - Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Il Barone bursts with bold notes of creme de cassis, black cherry preserves, and wild blueberries giving way to underlying hints of clove oil, star anise, and camphor. The medium to full-bodied palate is packed with expressive black fruit and exotic spice flavors supported by ripe, grainy tannins and plenty of freshness, finishing long and perfumed.

James Suckling (94 Points) - This is spicy with blackberries, dark cherries, dried orange peel, chocolate and wet rocks. Full-bodied, firm and slightly chewy with chalky tannins and juicy berry fruit in the middle. Lingering and slightly earthy at the end. Solid and well-balanced. Try after 2025.
