Tasting Notes
Bright green apple tones that combine with shades of nectarine and orange blossom that all mingle tightly in the glass.
Production Notes
Harvest kicked off in early August, with the typical gap between the white and red varietal maturation being almost nonexistent. This frenzied tempo continued until the rains provided our team a much-needed break. Following the rain, grapes left to hang through October enjoyed mild weather days that allowed us to wait for perfect ripeness. Our white wines from this harvest have shown perfect acidity and freshness with remarkable flavors and textures. Red wines are displaying excellent structure with deep red colors, luxurious tannins, and exquisite fruit- forward aromatics. We believe the unique weather events that defined the vintage will showcase the full range of flavors that Napa Valley wines are so well known for from crisp and vibrant to dense and powerful.
Winemaker Notes
Closely related to Pinot Noir, Pinot Grigio takes its name from the color of the grape skins, which range from copper to gray. It is thought to have originated from a mutation of the Burgundian variety Pinot Noir, discovered by monks in the 14th century who collected and propagated the grape from just a few cuttings.
Food Pairing Notes
Perfect as a pre-dinner sipper or with fresh salads containing prosciutto, ripe cantaloupe and mild cheese. great with all types of seafood, picnics and at tailgate parties.
