2025 DOLCINO, Anderson Valley

2025 DOLCINO, Anderson Valley

A spicy, delicate white wine loaded with aroma and flavor, made in the "dolcino," or slightly sweet, style. Aromas of fresh lychee and rose petals with notes of peach, apricot, and candied ginger. The Gewürztraminer for our Dolcino white wine comes from Anderson Valley, a cool climate coastal valley region famed for producing high-quality Burgundian and Alsatian varieties.

Production Notes
Harvest kicked off in early August, with the typical gap between the white and red varietal maturation being almost nonexistent. This frenzied tempo continued until the rains provided our team a much-needed break. Following the rain, grapes left to hang through October enjoyed mild weather days that allowed us to wait for perfect ripeness. Our white wines from this harvest have shown perfect acidity and freshness with remarkable flavors and textures. Red wines are displaying excellent structure with deep red colors, luxurious tannins, and exquisite fruit- forward aromatics. We believe the unique weather events that defined the vintage will showcase the full range of flavors that Napa Valley wines are so well known for from crisp and vibrant to dense and powerful.
Winemaker Notes
Pinot Bianco is a crisp, dry white wine originally from France's Burgundy region. Today, it has found an important place in northeastern Italy as well as California.
Food Pairing Notes
Pair this crisp wine with fish dishes, Asian dishes and your favorite hors d'oeuvres.
