ACCOLADES

  • Wine Enthusiast, Jim Gordon - 94 Points

"This nuanced and well-structured wine holds just-ripe apples, Bosc pears and toasted almond nuances in a snug grip of tangy acidity, with a hint of oak tannin. Look for this wine ot open up more with a bit of extended aging. Best from 2025."

• James Suckling- 92 Points

"Sliced apples, chalky lemons, honeysuckle, beeswax and pastry crust. Full and textural with a sleek, creamy mouthfeel and delicious stone fruit in the middle. Lingering and bright. Drink now."

Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
Lush aromas of apple, pear, and fall spices lead to enticing flavors of baked quince, butter toffee, and candied orange peel on the palate, with subtle nuances of baking spice and a focused finish.
Vineyard Notes
We sourced the fruit for this reserve Chardonnay from two vineyards in the southern end of Napa Valley, Its close proximity to the San Pablo Bay coupled with the cool air current off the Pacific Ocean along the Petaluma Gap allows for relatively cooler daytime temperatures compared to the rest of the valley, making it a perfect location for growing Burgundian varieties such as Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
Winemaker Notes
Harvest kicked off in early August, with the typical gap between the white and red varietal maturation being almost nonexistent. This frenzied tempo continued until the rains provided our team a much-needed break. Following the rain, grapes left to hang through October enjoyed mild weather days that allowed us to wait for perfect ripeness. Our white wines from this harvest have shown perfect acidity and freshness with remarkable flavors and textures. Red wines are displaying excellent structure with deep red colors, luxurious tannins, and exquisite fruit- forward aromatics. We believe the unique weather events that defined the vintage will showcase the full range of flavors that napa Valley wines are so well known for from crisp and vibrant to dense and powerful.
Food Pairing Notes
A beautiful, full-bodied wine to pair with turkey and dried apricot stuffing, butternut squash, honey glazed ham, or stuffed acorn squash.

Great tasting wine. Paired it with a seafood linguine in a red sauce. Just a nice hint of spice in the wine.
