This Super Tuscan Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced primarily from hillside vineyards in the Ruthorford viticultural area of Napa Valley, an area famous for producing layered and complex Cabernet Sauvignon. This balanced and opulent wine presents notes of tobacco, leather, and classic “Rutherford dust” with structured tannins and a silky, lingering finish.

This Sinalunga wine is a Cabernet Sauvignon epitomizing the love, passion, quality, attention to detail, and dedication that went into the making of Castello di Amorosa. Named for the small Tuscan commune near Siena which inspired Dario Sattui to construct the Castello, this exceptional, limited-production wine is symbolic of the castle itself, a crowning achievement. The Term “Super Tuscan” in Italy describes a complex, high-quality wine which goes “outside the rules” of traditional wine classifications and blends, and we are proud to work with Italian winemaker Sebastiano Rosa of Tenuta San Guido and Sassicaia fame, on crafting this exceptional Napa Valley Super Tuscan.

"Following the very small 2015 harvest, it was heartening to see the vines recover and bounce back to produce not only extremely high quality fruit but also some bounty in 2016! Harvest was earlier than we expected, and we observed optimum flavor and phenolic development progress as we harvested. Across the board, the flavors and acids were exceptional, and a delicious balance evolved as the harvest proceeded. Acids are firm and pH is slightly lower, so the wines should be well-structured with very good aging potential.
