Winemaker Notes
Winter provided a record-breaking rainfall, a welcome end to the 4 years of drought. Bloom and fruit set in May occured under ideal conditions. Summer was warm but the vines weathered the heat well and maturity moved along at a steady pace. The 2017 wine quality shows a lot of sweet fruit flavors and firm tannin structure in the reds. Food Pairing Notes
Excellent companion to most meat based dishes, especially roast lamb and duck. Also pairs well with flavorful cheeses such as brie, sharp cheddar, and aged Gouda.

I'm not usually a Merlot person. But I haven't been steered wrong yet. It went well with the date and goat cheese appetizer I had, kale salad and yes my turkey dinner.

Wife and I really enjoyed this Merlot. Used to drink Merlot often as my red of choice but had gotten away from it in the past few months. Really enjoyed the smoothness and great flavor of this Merlot. Want to get it again when our club order is sent later this year.

Delicious for a merlot. Had as part of our tasting at castello di amoroso. Dark in color.

Medium body, no tannins at all, Very fruit forward, plum and blackberry on the palate with a short finish. Not a bad wine but forgettable.
