2019 PINOT GRIGIO, North Coast

2019 PINOT GRIGIO, North Coast

A lively and crisp dry white wine with zesty citrus and melon aromas, bright acidity, and a refreshing, fruity finish. A perfect afternoon picnic wine.

Accolades

Washington Wine Blog, Owen Bargreen (90 points) – Sourced from North Coast vineyards, the nose shows bright green apple tones that combine with shades of nectarine and orange blossom that all mingle tightly in the glass. The palate has good freshness with a soft mouthfeel. Layers of kiwi and honeydew melon combine with the bright sense of minerality. Enjoy this excellent, brisk new Pinot Grigio in the short term. Drink 2020-2023

WineReviewOnline, Rich Cook (90 points) - Here is a delightful pear and mixed citrus driven Pinot Grigio that will class up your autumn salads and light appetizers. It's all about freshness and drinkability, and a bright acid pop in the finish keeps the flavors coming.  I am not typically a fan of domestic Pinot Grigio, but I would drink this any time.  Well done!

Winemaker Notes
Closely related to Pinot Noir, Pinot Grigio takes its name from the color of the grape skins, which range from copper to gray. It is thought to have originated from a mutation of the Burgundian variety Pinot Noir, discovered by monks in the 14th century who collected and propagated the grape from just a few cuttings.
Food Pairing Notes
Perfect as a pre-dinner sipper or with fresh salads containing prosciutto, ripe cantaloupe and mild cheese. great with all types of seafood, picnics and at tailgate parties.
