2024 ALBARIÑO, Favola Vineyard

2024 ALBARIÑO, Favola Vineyard

Albariño is a crisp, aromatic white wine that thrives in cool, coastal climates, where long growing seasons help develop its bright acidity and expressive fruit character. Ours shows aromas of pear and white peach lifted by a hint of lemon zest. The bright palate features citrus, ginger, and orange blossom, finishing with notes of passionfruit and pineapple.

Pair this bright and refreshing wine with citrus-marinated grilled shrimp, seared scallops with ginger-lime but-ter, or soft cheeses like burrata and chèvre.

Vineyard Notes: Sourced from our Estate Favola Vineyard on the volcanic slopes of Mount Veeder, Napa Valley. “Favola,” Italian for “Fairytale,” benefits from a high-elevation coastal microclimate, which imparts distinctive minerality and bright acidity

2024 Growing Season: Napa Valley’s spring brought ideal condi-tions for flowering, setting the stage for an evenly ripened, vi-brant vintage. Abundant rainfall in 2023 and a steady 2024 growing season fully recharged the soils, allowing us to nearly dry-farm and delay irrigation until mid-July—a rare and welcome shift. Moderate summer temperatures ripened a slightly above-average crop while preserving acidity, perfect for the sparkling wine harvest, which began August 16. Still whites followed in pristine condition—Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon, Chardonnay, Albariño, and Riesling.
As September warmed, harvest gained momentum. Yields varied by site, but quality was strong throughout. Red varieties arrived steadily at our crush pad—Pinot Noir, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Sy-rah, Zinfandel, and Cabernet Sauvignon. Warm, dry October weath-er brought full ripeness and an early finish, with the last Caber-net harvested by mid-month—several weeks ahead of 2023.
